About TOMORA

Tomora pairs Tom Rowlands of the Chemical Brothers with the singer-songwriter Aurora, and the name simply fuses their first names. The connection dates to Glastonbury in 2016, where Rowlands watched Aurora perform and was impressed enough that the two began working on each other's records: he contributed production to her fifth album, What Happened to the Heart?, and she guested as vocalist on No Geography. The duo, formed in 2025, grew out of the studio sessions that followed.

The music circulated quietly at first, with "Ring the Alarm" and "Somewhere Else" in Chemical Brothers DJ sets. Then the name appeared on festival bills including Øyafestivalen, NOS Alive, Colours of Ostrava and Coachella, prompting speculation about who stood behind it. The duo were confirmed on 4 December 2025 with "Ring the Alarm" and its B-side "The Thing". Further singles "Come Closer" and "I Drink the Light" preceded the debut album Come Closer, released on 17 April 2026 to generally favourable reviews, with Adam Smith shooting every single's video. A first tour of North America, Europe and Asia was announced on 16 April, and the Celebration EP was announced with its title track and a first New York show.
