About Vistas

Three friends who met at school in Edinburgh, Prentice Robertson, Dylan Rush and Jamie Law, make up Vistas, a Scottish indie rock band whose bond predates their first record. The line-up has stayed the same since they started out in 2016, with Robertson on vocals, Rush on guitar and Law on bass. Their output has come steadily, one release at a time, from a 2016 single to a run of EPs and albums.

Their debut single, "Sign Language", arrived in 2016, followed by "Retrospect" in May 2018 and the debut EP Hello in July 2019. The band's first studio album, Everything Changes in the End, was preceded by the lead single "Teenage Blues" in November 2019, and the record reached number two on the Scottish Albums Chart and number twenty-one on the UK Albums Chart. Their second album, What Were You Hoping To Find?, came out in August 2021, and a five-track EP, The Beautiful Nothing, followed in January 2023. In April 2025 they returned with the lead single "The Middle", and in May 2025 they announced their fourth studio album, Cut The Cord, due on 29 August.
