Who we are
EILISH (eilish.co.uk and eilish.world) is an independent music news and gig guide. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about your data can be sent to privacy@eilish.co.uk.
What we collect
- Submissions. When you submit an event or music news we store the details in the form, including your name, email address, organisation and role, so our editors can verify and follow up.
- Cookie choices. A cookie remembers whether you accepted analytics and advertising, so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Analytics. Only if you allow it, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. IP addresses are not stored by us.
- Advertising. Only if you allow it, our advertising partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, request time, browser) to run and secure the site.
Why and on what legal basis
- Consent for analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests for reviewing submissions, keeping the site secure and remembering your cookie choice.
- Legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information by law.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers rely on adequacy decisions such as the UK-US Data Bridge and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Submissions: up to 24 months after the event or story, then deleted.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@eilish.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or to the data protection authority where you live.
Links and third-party content
Ticket links, maps and nearby places (from OpenStreetMap) take you to other services with their own privacy policies. We do not control how they handle your data.
