The Los Angeles rapper revealed the title and release year onstage while marking a decade since 'Blank Face LP', according to Dork's reporting.

ScHoolboy Q has confirmed that his next album, 'THank Que', will be released in 2027. Dork reports that the rapper made the announcement at the close of a Los Angeles show celebrating the 10th anniversary of his 2016 record 'Blank Face LP'.

“New album called THank Que coming out next year. I promise you that,”

That is how Q put it to the crowd, according to Dork. He then looked ahead to the album's 20th anniversary and said he would never retire. The record follows 2024's 'Blue Lips'.

A new chapter teased earlier in the year

The announcement builds on a post Q shared earlier this year. Dork reports that it featured a studio photograph captioned “New chapter”, and that in the same post Q described the project as a 12-song album that he had been working on “for a minute”. Dork notes that the title's capitalisation differs between that post and the onstage announcement, but says both refer to the same forthcoming record.

From one show to a touring run

The anniversary celebration began more modestly. Dork says it was first billed as a single hometown date at the Palladium in Los Angeles, alongside a new vinyl release of 'Blank Face LP'. It then grew into a nine-city, 10-night run, with Los Angeles hosting two of the nights.

Dork cites Billboard in reporting that the run continues in Phoenix before finishing in Las Vegas. The live dates listed in Dork's article are The Van Buren in Phoenix on 13 October and Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas on 17 October.

Dork's report confirms a title and a 2027 release window for 'THank Que', and describes the project as a 12-song album based on Q's earlier post. Dork says further details are yet to be announced.
